Also in my notes were little tidbits of info:
Math shot Fred while trying to kill Fred's wife lIa. Sheriff Dowling came and took him away. Math went crazy and died.
Fred died of cold and old age, Lawrence did too. Mead committed suicide over his relationship with Mae. Mary died of old age.
Emily was run over by a car and killed, Lewis died of a stroke and Carrie died in childbirth. Carrie's husband Char1ie Bozeman's brother was killed on the ship that went down in the English Channel.
It seems that hospitals used to have springs in the mattresses and when someone was near death, the hospital would drop
the spring and cut off the breath of the patient to keep them from suffering. This is what happened to Carrie at Gordon Keller Hospital in Tampa according to Grandma Knapp.
Then only time Grandma (Mattie) got "drunk" was on Strawberry wine.
When Clinton was small he had spinal meningitis and typhoid fever. He didn't know anything for three months until his pet chicken jumped up on his bed and he laughed. The first time that Clinton saw a car (he was about 10) he thought it was the devil and ran, Grandma had to chase him down.
Sure hope this added another little chapter in our history. Let me know if you had some of this already or if some is new.
